Golden Rule Fundraising Secret #3

..... then why in the world do so many fundraisers offer prospective donors things most people don't really want, let alone need - especially things that they could buy at the same price (or less) at their local discount store - even if they did want them?!

With these kinds of products to offer people, you probably can't ask more than a handful of people - a few close friends and family members - for donations.  Forget about casual acquaintences, let alone strangers!   Most other people don't want to give their hard-earned money to someone they don't really know for something they don't really want or need!

And when you can only ask a handful of people for donations, you end up raising only a handful of money!

But if you offer donors something everyone needs and, in doing so, give them more value than you're asking them for, then you can ask practically everyone for a donation (whether you know them well or not) - and you'll have a much better chance of success, receiving a lot more donations!
  (How?   In a minute!)
